Nelly’s “Here comes the boom” or “Bleed it out” by Linkin Park?

Fans at this year’s Shamrock Series game had to make this difficult choice in deciding which song would usher in the second half of an exciting closely fought game at the colossal AT&T Stadium – home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Which would you pick?

This year’s Shamrock game pitted the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame against the Sun Devils of Arizona State – a pretty even match-up. The pre-game events organized by the schools had the fans fired up and totally into the game.

Poll Everywhere was called in to help take fan participation to the next level with game time polling. The plan called for fans to vote three times during the game in order to choose the best Shamrock Series game-to-date, the song that would start the second half, and the game’s MVP.

The gigantic Jumbotron at AT&T Stadium – the fourth largest in the world – was the ideal way to message the over 70,000 fans. Voting was simple and intuitive. Fans loved being able to pick the song that started the second half – and were pumped not only to hear Nelly’s “Here comes the boom,” but also to see the results displayed live.

The game lived up to its billing – it was a nail-biter, but in the end Notre Dame edged out Arizona State 37-34.

Back to Linkin Park vs. Nelly. Personally, I would pick “Bleed it out” over “Here comes the boom” any day. However, I am a Trojan and so it is not surprising that I do not see eye-to-eye with the Fighting Irish and the Sun Devils! Let me know if you agree!!!
