We are excited about an upcoming event this fall that we think should be on your radar and on your calendar. We are traveling to San Diego October 17-20 for the Presentation Summit, a three-day conference for PowerPoint users and presentation professionals. All of the rock stars of the industry will be there — Nancy Duarte, Garr Reynolds, Julie Terberg, conference host Rick Altman, and the team from Microsoft that develops PowerPoint.  Not yet a rock star, Poll Everywhere cofounder Jeff Vyduna will be giving a talk about presenting off of the web and mobile devices.

There will be three tracks of seminars and workshops, keynote addresses, discussion groups, a hands-on help center, and a one-day expo on Tuesday where we will be exhibiting. From the schedule, it is clear that the organizers understand balance of work and play: they feed us breakfast and lunch, host numerous social events, and plan evenings out for us. And if you haven’t seen the photos at the website, the host hotel is two blocks from the Pacific Ocean, with its own private bayside marina! We’re not sure if it’s work or vacation.

The conference is in its eighth season and is seen by all who have attended as the one must-attend event of the season.
