Polling and elections go hand in hand, like eggs and bacon, and butter on bread. Usually polling happens before the elections, but we were thrilled to hear that Poll Everywhere was being used in the Maldivian Democratic Constituency for the actual elections themselves!

 

We developed special security technologies for the voting. As far as we know, this is the first real political election conducted using SMS text messages. The Maldives should be congratulated on their progressiveness and innovation.
