If you’ve used Poll Everywhere, you know that we automatically assign numbers for your audience to respond with, like “1234.” Now, we’ve introduced customizable keywords for Professional-level plans and above. Customizing the keywords for your polls gives people a more professional and polished experience than numbers alone. Numbers are easy to enter on a phone, but when you’re doing a high profile presentation for a Fortune 500 company at a conference, or running a radio/television campaign, customized keywords make participating even simpler.

We used to go through a time consuming process to customize keywords for customers but we’ve made this into a premium feature you can use yourself. Keywords are a valuable resource shared by all customers, so we’re making this feature available to customers who are on a Professional-level plan or higher. In fact, many mobile marketing companies charge $100/keyword/month, so we think it’s a steal to be able to use unlimited keywords for $24/month.

Soon, we’ll also introduce an automatic closing feature for polls that haven’t received a response in in the last 30 days. This way you don’t have to worry about forgetting to close old polls when you’re done. This also helps free up  keywords (both auto-number and custom) on inactive polls. If you need to reserve a keyword on a poll that won’t get any activity for more than 1 month, just let us know and we’ll help you out.
